Dr. Susanne von Schmiedeberg applies the effect of L- Carnosine in cell renewal for a new anti-age skin care series.
Name and logo development
LHD began with concepts for names as a first step in creating a brand design out of this new technology for skin care. We developed several options to express the technological effects and benefits. The decision in the end was to use the name of the dermatologist, Dr. Susanne von Schmiedeberg, strengthening the personal character of the brand.
Design development- factual and medicinal approach
The challenge here was to join professional dermatological competence with innovative technology to deliver a contemporary and professional appearance.
White as the colour for the category “professional skin care” is a logical aspect of this design. L- Carnosine produces healthy skin and fights against the saccharification of the skin. And so we have designed a graphic of a cell structure harmoniously abstract and refined the folding box surfaces above visually and haptically. The pattern also serves to differentiate with colours between the individual serums.
The agent L.Carnosine as the hero- ingredient is embossed on the lid in its chemical formula: C9H14N403 and thus underlines its sophisticated and medical character.
The saccharification or scientifically the forming of “ Advanced Glycation Endproducts” shortened to A.G.E is graphically elevated on the cremes. Silver hot foils that frame the word Dermocosmetic strengthen the logo.
All the containers are linear and in white and silver. The white surfaces are matt and the silver shine brilliantly.
